Population in 2014=1000

Population in 2015=1500

Increase in Population.

1500-1000

=500

Increasement from 1000 to1500=500

We have to find Increase Population % from 1000

 \frac{population \: increase}{intial \: population \: in \: 2014} \times 100 \\  \\  \frac{500}{1000}   \times 100 \\  \\  = 50\%

\boxed{\mathbf{Increase\: Population=50\%}}
