Answer:

This one is so easy that even I can do it:

The increase is 25,000. The base population was 600,000. You are looking to answer the question, “what percentage of 600,000 is 25,000?” Simply put: 25,000/600,000 so the answer is 4.1%

Given:-

Initial population of the town=600000

Increased population of the town=625000

To find:-

Percentage of increase in population.

Solution:-

Increase in population=625000-600000

=>25000

Now,percentage of population increased----

=>Increase in population/Initial population×100

=>25000/600000×100

=>2500000/600000

=>4.16%(approx)

Thus,the increase in population is 4.16%(approx).
