Population after 3% increase:

160000 × 3/100 + 160000 = 4800 + 160000

= 164800

Population after 2.5% increase:

164800 × 2.5/100 + 164800 = 4120 + 164800

= 168920

Population after 5% increase:

168920 × 5/100 + 168920 = 8446 + 168920

= 177366

Thus option (D) is right ✓
