let number of male be m
then female = 5000-m
after increase number of male is m+(5/100)*m =1.05m
after increase similarly number if female = 1.03(5000-m)
total number of people = 1.05m+1.03*5000-1.03m=0.02m+5150 and it is given in question as 5202 equating both we get
5150+0.02m=5202 and from this we get m=2600 and female is 5000-2600 i.e 2400
then female = 5000-m
after increase number of male is m+(5/100)*m =1.05m
after increase similarly number if female = 1.03(5000-m)
total number of people = 1.05m+1.03*5000-1.03m=0.02m+5150 and it is given in question as 5202 equating both we get
5150+0.02m=5202 and from this we get m=2600 and female is 5000-2600 i.e 2400
