Since for a particle moving along x axis will follow a path something like x=at where t is time and a is its instantaneous position on x axis
So it wil give you a velocity, v= dx/dt = a
And so acceleration will be zero
So force, f =ma where m is mass will also be zero
Hence, impulse= force * time= 0
