Power= work done by time taken

So, given is W= 600 joules

Time = 30 seconds

P=w/t

P= 600 joules/30seconds

So, power=20 watts

Given:-

  • Energy (E) = 600J

  • Time taken (t) = 30s

To Find:-

  • Power of bulb (P).

Solution:-

As we know that , Power is defined as the work or energy per unit time.

Power = Energy/Time

P = E/t

substitute the value we get

→ P = 600/30

→ P = 20 W

The power of the bulb is 20 watt.

Additional Concept !!!

✧ The rate of doing work is called power .

OR

The rate at which energy is transferred by an object is called the Power delivered by that object.

✧ SI unit of Power is Watt (W).

✧ Mathematical Term

→ P = w/t

✧ 1 horse Power = 746 Watt .

✧ The work done by a force acting on an object is equal to the product of force and the displacement of the object in the direction of the force.

✧ SI unit is Joule (J).
