the present age of a man is twice that of his son.Eight years hence,their ages will be in the ratio 7:4.Find their present ages.

man's age = x son's age =y ratio 7: 4

8 years later

7(x-8)=4(y-8)

7x-56=4y-64

7x-4y=-8 1

x=-8+4y/7

Substitute the values of x in 1

so this will come

56+28y-28
