let the age of the son be a.

then the age of father will be 3a+3.

after three years their ages will be,

son=(a+3)

father=(3a+3+3)=(3a+6)

according to question,

(3a+6)+7=2(a+3)

3a+6+7=2a+6

3a-2a=6-7-6

a=7

Thus, the age of son=7

Father's age=7×4=28
