let the present age of Mr se and his son be 17x and 9x respectively
9 years ago ,
Mr sen age=17x-9
his son's age = 9x-9
a/q,
(17x-9)/(9x-9) = (7/3)
51x-27=63x-63
51x-63x= -63+27
-12x= -36
x=3
Mr se age =17x=17×3=51yrs
his son's age=9x=9×3=27yrs
