Answer:

Let present age of Sita is x.

Then the present age of Sita's father is 3 times of Sita.

So, present age of Sita's father is 3x.

After 6 years, age of Sita will be (x+6) & age of Sita's father will be (3x+6),

According to the question, after six years the sum of their ages will be 69 yrs.

So,(x+6) + (3x+6) = 69

4x + 12 = 69

4x = 69 - 12 = 57

x = 57/4 = 14 years and 3 months = age of Sita

3x = 3 x 57/4 = 42 years and 9 months = age of Sita's father

42 years and 9 months = age of Sita's father

Let the age of Sita be x

And her father's age be 3x

After 6 years

Sita's age will be x+6

Her father's age will be 3x+6

According to the question.

After 6 years, sum of their ages will be 68.

So,

x + 6 + 3x + 6 = 68

4x + 12 = 68

4x = 68 - 12

4x = 56

x =  \frac{56}{4}

(14×4=56)

x = 14

•°• Sita's present age = x = 14 years

Her father's present age = 3x = 3×14 = 42 years
