Given :

  • The present age of site's father is 3 times her present age.
  • After 6 years the sum of their ages will be 69.

To find :

  • Their present ages =?

Step-by-step explanation :

Let, the present age of Site's be x.

Then, the present age of Site's father be 3x.

After 6 years Site's age will be, x + 6 years

After 6 years Site's father will be, 3x + 6 years

According to the question,

(x + 6) + (3x + 6) = 69

x + 6 + 3x + 6 = 69

x + 3x + 6 + 6 = 69

4x + 12 = 69

4x = 69 - 12

4x = 57

x = 57/4

x = 14.25

Or 14 years (approx)

Therefore, We got the value of, x = 14 years.

Hence,

The present age of Site's, x = 14 years

Then, the present age of Site's father, 3x = 3 × 14 = 42 years
