Answer:

A's present age=40

B's present age=50

Given:

A and B ages in ratio=4:5

10 years ago their ages were in ratio=3:4

To find:

Their present ages

Solution:-

Let A's and B's present age be 4x and 5x respectively

10 years ago

A's age=4x-10

B's age=5x-10

Now

According to the question

 \frac{4x - 10}{5x - 10} =  \frac{3}{4}

4(4x - 10) = 3(5x - 10)

16x - 40 = 15x - 30

16x - 15x =  - 30 + 40

x = 10

----------------------

A's present age=4x

=4 ×10

=40

B's present age=5 ×10

=50

---------------------------------

A's and B's present age is 40 and 50 respectively
