  • What is their present ages.

Solution :-

Let,

Five years later :

Solution :-

Let the ratio of present ages of Veeru and Neeru be 3a and 4a

Given, After 5 years ratio becomes 4:5

3a + 5/4a + 5 = 4:5

3a + 5/4a + 5 = 4/5

5(3a + 5) = 4(4a + 5)

(5 × 3a) + (5 × 5) = (4 × 4a) + (4 × 5)

15a + 25 = 16a + 20

15a - 16a = 20 - 25

-a = -5

a = 5

Hence

Age of Veeru = 3a = 15 years
