Present population = 31250

•Population after One year
= 31250 + (4/100)×31250
= 31250 + 1250
= 32500
---------------------------------------
• Population after Two year
= 32500 + (4/100)×32500
= 32500 + 1300
= 33800
--------------------------------------
• Population after Three year
= 33800 + (4/100)×33800
= 33800 + 1352
= 35152

The population of the town should be = p(1+r/100)^n [Here p=present population , r=rate of increasing , n=time]

The population of the town after 3 years =

31250(1+4/100)^3

=31250×(1+2/50)^3

=31250 × (26/25)^3

=31250 × 26/25 × 26/25 +×26/25

=35152

The answer is 35152.
