Hey mate

Her is the solution of your question :-

Solution :-

Present ages of P and Q = 4:6

let the present ages of Pand Q be 4x and 6x .

Sum of ages = 50

According to the question

4x +6x = 50

10x = 50

X = 50/10

X = 5

present age of P = 4x = 4×5 = 20 years

present age of Q = 6x = 6×5 = 30 years

Ages before 4 years = 16 and 26

Sum of ages = 48

Hope it will help..

RATIO: 4:6
let the age of p be, 4x
let the age of q be, 6x
thus, we can say that,
4x+6x=50
10x= 50
x= 50/10
x=5
thus age of p = 4×5
20 years
age of q=6×5
30 years
age of p before 4 years= 20-4
16 years
age of q before 4 years=30-4
26 years
thus, sum of ages= 16+26
42 years
hope it helps!☺️
