Animals of the phylum Chordata have in them animals like vertebrates and sea squirts. That they have a fatal science can be justified by the fact that Chordates have similar embryos in their initial stages. Also , the chordates and hemichordates have similiar ancestors which date back to many years ago , earlier than 500 million years ago.
