The gills of Priacanthus hamrur caught off Gangavaram and Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India between July 1992 and June 1993 were examined for didymozoid digenean parasites, in particular Neometadidymozoon polymorphis. 80.5% of female fish were infected as opposed to 61.6% of males.
