✴Ionic compounds✴
formed by addition of charged paritcles as
-vely charged anions and +vely charged cations..
They are conductor of electricity.
✴➖✴
Ex:- 2Na + Cl2Gives 2Na+ Cl- => 2NaCl [(sodium chloride)a common salt.]
✴Molecular Compounds✴
also called as covalent compounds, formed by sharing of electrons between the two atoms and the elements are held together by a covalent bonds.
It has a low melting point and can not conduct electricity without state.
✴➖✴
Ex: 2C + O2 gives 2CO
( Carbon monoxide)
thank you ☺
