In Last Year ————-

1 litre = ₹60

In Current Year—————

1 litre = ₹61.5

Increase = 60 - 61.5
=1.5

Increase% = increase/initial value *100
= 1.5/60*100
=2.5%

Answer:

2.5%

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of petroleum last year= Rs. 60

Cost of petroleum this year= Rs. 61.5

Increase= Rs. 1.5

Increase percentage =

1.5/60*100

1.5/3*5 (we divide both 60 and 100 by 20)

0.5*5

=2.5%
