The price of a pen is 5 rupees more than that of of a pencil . The price of a book is 8 rupees

more than twice of the price of a pencil . A man bought each of these items . It cost him 53
rupees.

Answer:

Let the price of pencil=n

Then

price of pen=n+5

price of book=2n+8

Then

n+n+5+2n+8=53

4n+13=53

4n=40

n=40/4=10

Price of pencil=n=10

price of pen=n+5=10+5=15

price of book=2n+8=2*10+8=28
