i.e.

25×100 =Rs. 25

With Rs. 25, he can purchase 6.25 kg of potatoes

∴ Reduced price of 6.25 kg of potatoes = Rs. 25

⇒ Reduced price of 1 kg of potatoes.

=Rs. 25÷6.25

=Rs.4
