let the original price be x. So, according to the question, we get:
present price=original price*(100+increased percent) /100
896=x*(100+12)/100
896=x*112/100
896=x*28/25
896*25=x*28
22400=x*28
22400/28=x
800=x.
Therefore original price of suit =rupees 800...
