In a coin, there is only one head and only one tail...

Whn its tossed once.. Probability =1/2

Sample space, n(S) =2(Coin has 2 faces)

Now,

Favourable outcomes, n(A) =1(either head or tail will occur whn its tossed once)

Now,

Probability=n(A) /n(S) =1/2
