Probability of guessing the correct answer to certain question =
$\frac{x}{2}$

Probability of not guessing the correct answer =
$\frac{3x}{2}$


According to question..

$\frac{x}{2} + \frac{3x}{2} = 1$

$\frac{x + 3x}{2} = 1$

$\frac{4x}{2} = 1$

$4x = 2$

$x = \frac{2}{4}$

$x = \frac{1}{2}$
