Given - Die is thrown

Find - Probability of not getting 2

Solution - The probability of not getting 2 = 5/6

Probability = number of favourable outcomes/total number of outcomes

Number of favourable outcomes = 1 (as 2 can come only once)

Total number of outcomes = 6

Probability of getting 2 = 1/6

Probability of favourable outcomes + Probability of not favourable outcomes = 1

The probability of not getting 2 = Probability of getting 2 - 1

The probability of not getting 2 = 1 - 1/6

The probability of not getting 2 = 6 - 1/6

The probability of not getting 2 = 5/6

Thus, the probability of not getting 2 = 5/6
