P ( M' ∩ P') = 0.1

De Morgan Law :  \[P\left( A'\text{ }\cup \text{ }B' \right)=P\left( A\cap B \right)\text{ }\!\!'\!\!\text{  },\text{ }P\left( A'\text{ }\cap \text{ }B' \right)=P\left( A\cup B \right)\text{ }\!\!'\!\!\text{  }\]

P ( M' ∩ P') = 0.1

=> P ( M ∪ P)' = 0.1

=> P ( M U P ) = 1 - 0. 1 = 0.9

probability of pa ssing physics

P ( M U P ) = P(M ) + P (P)  - P ( M  ∩ P )  

=>  0.9  = 0.75 +  P (P)  - 0.5

=>  P (P)  = 0.65
