Guttation is the process in which intact plant loses water in form of droplets.
Explanation:
In some of the plants like grass or bananas the root pressure of the plant is very high. So the rate of the water passing through the stem is high than the water is transpired in a day.
So the extra water is remaining present at the margin of the leaf as a droplet. This is normally seen at the early morning. The water which was not transpired is present in the form of droplets. This is called guttation.
