The process of industrialisation had the following negative impact on the newly emerged industrial workers:
a.Though, Industrialisation created huge opportunities for people, who migrated to cities in search of better job opportunities and employment, the availability of Jobs in industries depended on the network or friendship or kinship.
b. Job seekers had to stay in camps, casual wards.
c. Industrial process also brought about seasonal unemployment.In England, many industries the demand for labor was seasonal, where the people were employed during peak seasons like breweries and gas works employed people on a large scale during winters, and then fired them, creating fear and insecurity among them.
d. It also created a fear of unemployment among the workers due to advent capital intensive technology.
e. There was little done for the welfare of workers, there was hardly any increase in wages. Price rise , fluctuations in the economy further contributed to their miseries.
f. Gradually, industrialisation replaced men with machines, with the use of latest technology rendering them jobless.
