Let 2 consecutive integers be x and x + 1

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Acc. to the question :-

⠀⠀⠀⠀

x ( x + 1 ) = 56

⠀⠀⠀⠀

x² + x = 56

⠀⠀⠀⠀

x² + x - 56 = 0

⠀⠀⠀⠀

x² - 7x + 8x - 56 = 0

⠀⠀⠀⠀

x ( x - 7 ) + 8 ( x - 7 ) = 0

⠀⠀⠀⠀

( x + 8 ) ( x - 7 ) = 0
