Let the no that multiply by - 12 to give - 9 be x.

=) x * - 12 = - 9

=) x = - 9/-12

=) x = 3/4

-12x=-9
x=-9/-12=3/4
and minus will remove bcoz in numerator and denominator both have same sign..
