Let one digit be 'x' and the other be x+1

x × x + 1

x × x + 1 = 6162

x² + x - 6162 = 0

x² + 79x-78x -6162 = 0

x( x+ 79 ) - 78 ( x +79)

(x-78) (x+79)

x has to be equal to -79 or 78

but it cannot be equal to - 79 because the question says positive integers

x = 78 and x + 1 = 79

ANS: the digits are 78 ad 79
