Rivers are called the Lokmata of India

Rivers are called the Lokmata of India because of the following reasons 

:- 

1) water is the life of a person and we get all water from rivers 

2) River give 76 % of water to India 

3) people can do agriculture on the Banks of River 

4) River helps to poor people to washing the clothes 

            Due to this reasons Rivers are called the Lokmata of India
