The proper procedure of the experiment to show that zinc is more reactive than copper is
Answers
hi mate here is your answer
this is an activity that demonstrates that zn is more reactive than copper
aim : to show that zinc is more reactive than copper
material required : copper sulphate solution , zinc granules , beaker etc...
principle of experiment : to show that zn is more reactive that copper by a practical approach
procedure : 1. take a 100ml beaker containing the copper sulphate solution
(CuSO4)
2. take some zn granules
3. put them into the beaker containing the cuso4 solution
4. note down the observation
draw a diagram for the above activity
observation : when the zn granules are added to the cuso4 solution the blue color of the solution disappears and the solution become colorless showing the displacement of copper
reaction : CuSO4 + Zn ⇒ ZnSO4 + Cu
conclusion : in the above reaction the zinc displaces copper from the copper sulphate solution as the solution becomes colorless showing the presence of zinc
hope it helps!!!
