Hello friend !

# 71% of the Earth is covered by water and 97% of this water is in the oceans.

Water is the only natural substance that is found as a gas (water vapour), a liquid and a solid (ice) on earth.

Many substances dissolve in water.

Water plays a very important role in proper functioning of the body.

Many other important properties of water depend on its structure.

=> Property of water means quality and characteristics of water.

# There can be two types of properties:

a) Chemical properties- Which attributes to chemical nature of water and reactivity of water.

b) Physical properties- Which attributes to physical parameters of water like temperature, volume etc.

Hope this helps !!

Water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen. The property of hydrogen is that it is a highly combustible gas and oxygen is a supporter of combustion but when water is formed by these two elements it doesn't contain any property of hydrogen as well as oxygenand it helps to extinguish fire. This shows that the properties of water are different from the elements from which it is made.

hope it helps you plzzz mark as brainliest
