commission on the property that has been sold for

1% of 50,000 is 1/100×50,000 = 500

So, 0.5% of the remaining price be

2,38,000 - 50,000 + 50,000

2,38,000 - 1,00,000

1,38,000

Therefore 0.5% of 1,38,000 is

0.5/100×1,38,000 = 690

Therefore total commission = 1000+500+690

= 2190
