There is plenty of humor in the play The Proposal. The three main characters are quite quarrelsome. They don’t miss any opportunity to quarrel with one another. Lomov comes to Chubukov’s house with a marriage proposal for his daughter, Natalya. However, in the heated discussion they forget the proposal and start arguing and quarrelling.    

Lomov is the most humorous character. His illnesses such as palpitations, spasms, etc. really make him a comic character.

Humor is exceedingly essential in making life less stressful. I completely agree with this fact. Humour is the fun and joy of life. It makes you laugh. For example Kapil Sharma's episodes are full of humour. Humour lends vibrancy to life. However, humour is a rare commodity. One can find quality humour in books. For example novels Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog) by Jerome K Jerome and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain are perfect models of humour.

We should give at least 30 minutes to humor every day in order to stay healthy.
