Let, the Price = Rs. 100

Face price = 100 × 140/100 = Rs. 140

Selling Price = 140 × (100 - 45)/100 = Rs. 77

Loss = 100 - 77 = Rs. 23

Loss% = 23/100 × 100 = 23%
