Answer:

If A is a root of a polynomial equation, then (x-A) is a factor

Since -2 and 1 are the roots, the factors will be (x-(-2)) and (x-(1))

=> (x+2) and (x-1)

So the quadratic equation will be (x+2)(x-1)

=> x^2 +2x - x - 2

=> x^2+x-2=0
