The question: A car travels a distance 100m with a constant acceleration and average velocity of 20 ms-1. The final velocity acquired by the car is 25ms-1. Find: The initial velocity and acceleration of car

Avg. velocity=(v+u)/2

20m/s=(25 m/s+u)/2

40 m/s = 25 m/s+u

u=15 m/s

now,
v^2=u^2+2as

400=225+2×a×100

175=200a

a=7/8 m/s^2
