Hi ROHANDey1!!

--> I will give you the summary of the poem so that you can note down your answer.

==>> Leslie Norris has craftily presented a picture of tussle between freedom and bondage in this poem. The poet is trying to convey the behaviour of a caged tiger and a tiger roaming freely in his natural habitat. The poet is talking about a wild tiger captured in a cage. The tiger has vivid strips all over its body. The tiger has become quite angry and roaming in his cage. Then the poet imagines the situation if it were free in his territory. It would have been hiding in the long grass near a water hole to catch a prey. It wohld have destroyed the peace and sanctity of the villagers near the jungle by its white fangs and dangerous claws. But again the poet returns to the reality and the tiger is still in the cage. He is quite in a helpless state. He ignored the visitors, who have an ardent desire to see the king of the jungle, during the day. At night, he stares at the twinkling of the stars.

Why does the tiger express his rage quietly?

From the Poem of '' A Tiger In The Zoo'.

The Tiger expresses his rage quietly because there is nothing he can do from behind the bars of his cage.

He is helpless as his strength is now imprisoned inside the cage due to the fancies of man.
