  • Let the radius be x cm
  • Therefore, radius of first cylinder=3x and radius of 2nd cylinder=2x
  • Let the height be h cm
  • Therefore, height of the 1st cylinder=h and height of the 2nd cylinder=2h
  • we know that surface area of the cylinder=2πrh
  • Ratio=surface area of 1st cylinder÷surface area of 2nd cylinder
  • 2×π×3x×h÷2×π×2x×2h

=3÷4

therefore, ratio will be 3:4
