The radius of a circle is 1 unit. If it’s diameter is increased by 100%, it’s area in increased by?

As area of circle is directly propotional to the square of diameter,

100% increase in diameter will cause area to become 400%

So, area increase by 300%

Area of circle with 1m radius = π(1)^2=π

So, increased area=300% of π=3π
