the radius of a circle is 13cm and the length of one of its chord is 10cm. find the distance of chord from centre. plz give me the ans with the solution

Let OA is a radius . And OB is perpendicular to the chord AC and divides it into two equal parts AB and BC.

Now in triangle AOB
OA sq. = AB sq. + OB sq.
13 sq. = 5sq. +OB sq.
169-25 = OB sq.
144underroot = OB
12 = OB distance from the centre of the circle
