Hi,
Here is the solution ❤️❤️
⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️

area \: of \: the \: complete \: sheet \: = \pi {r}^{2} \\ \\ = = > \frac{22}{7} \times 14 \times 14 \\ \\ = = > 616sq \: cm \\ \\ area \: of \: remaining \: sheet = \pi {r}^{2} \\ \\ \frac{22}{7} \times 7 \times 7 \\ \\ = 154 \\ \\ area \: of \: cut \: out \: piece \: = = > (616 - 154) \\ \\ = = > 462 {sq}^{2}

Question: The radius of a circular sheet of metal is 14 cm a circular piece of the sheet is cut out from it the radius of the remaining piece is 7 cm what is the area of the cut out piece?

Solution:

Given:

Radius of sheet before cut, r1 :14 cm

Radius of sheet after cut , r2 : 7 cm

Then ATQ,

r1 - r2 = cutout piece

π×(14)^(2) - π×(7)^(2)

22/7 × 14 × 14 - 22/7 × 7 × 7

22/7 × 196 - 22/7 × 49

22 × 28 - 22 × 7

616 - 154 = 462 cm

therefore, cut out piece area = 462 cm
