Given : Radius of cone (r) = 5 cm

vertical Height of cone (h) = 12 cm

We know that, slant height,  l = √ r² + h²

l = √5² + 12²

l = 25 + 144

l = 169

l = 13 cm

Now,

C.S.A of a cone = πrl

= 22/7 × 5 × 13

= 1430/7

= 204.28 cm²

Hence, the curved surface area of the cone is 204.28 cm².
