HEYA MATE !

R= 8cm

H=2cm

CSA = πr²+πrl

l²=r²+h²

l²=8²+2²

l²=64+4

l=√68

l=8.24cm approx

πr(r+l)

22/7×8(8+8.24)

hope it helps

Answer:

To find out the Curved surface area of a cone.

  • Firstly we have to multiple base radius of the cone by π
  • Then we have to multiple it with its slant height (l).

So the formula for CSA of cone is

πrl

Given=>

Base radius = 8 unit

Height = 2 unit.

Slant height (l) = X

To find out slant height

We have to apply Pythagoras theoram.

x =  \sqrt{ {r}^{2}  +  {h}^{2} }

x =  \sqrt{ {2}^{2} +  {8}^{2}  }

x =  \sqrt{4 + 64 }  \\ x =  \sqrt{68}

x = 8.24 unit

CSA =

 \frac{22}{7}  \times 8 \times 8.24

CSA of cone = 207.177sq unit
