Step-by-step explanation:
Given:-
The radius of circle is doubled
To find:-
What is the change in the circumference ?
Solution:-
Let the radius of a circle be r units
Then, the circumference of the circle = 2πr units
C1= 2πr units
If the radius is doubled then the new radius of the circle = 2×r = 2r units
Circumference of the circle = 2(π)(2r ) units
=> 4πr units
C2 = 4πr units
=> C2= 2(2πr)
=> C2 = 2 C1
=> C2 = 2× Original Circumference
=> C2 = twice the Original Circumference
Answer:-
If the radius is doubled then the circumference is also doubled
i.e.The new Circumference is twice the original Circumference of the circle.
Used formulae:-
- circumference of the circle = 2πr units
- r = radius
- π=22/7
