The rain which falls on a roof 18m long and 16.5m wide is allowed to be stored in a cylindrical tank 8m in diameter. If it rains 10cm on a day, what is the rise of water level in the tank due to it?

l=18m

b=16.5

also, h of rainfall=10/100

the volume of water=l×b×h

=18×16.5×1/10

=297m cube

let the height rise of water level in the tank be h'

now water has been transferred to cylinder

so,

volume of water=πr^2h

therefore,

297= 22/7×4×4×h'

solve it by using the formula of height

note d=8m

so radius =4m
