The rate constant of a certain first order reaction is 3.12 x 10⁻³ min⁻¹. (a) How many times deos it take for the reactant concentration to drop to 0.02 M if the initial concentration of the reactant is 0.045 M?(b) What is the molarity of the reactant after 1.5h?

The formula that will be used is 2.303/k log [R]n/[R]

Here, 2.303/3.12 * 10-3 log [0.2]/[0.045]

This formula will be used for the calculation of the total time taken in the performance of the first order reaction.

Hence, since you know the time and the concentration you can calculate the R that can be used in the above equation.
