therefore exterior angle = 1x°
exterior angle + interior angle = 180°
x + 8x = 180°
9x = 180°
x = 20°
therefore 8x = 160°
exterior angle = 20°
as sum of all exterior angles is 360°
therefore no. of exterior angles = 360/20 = 18
therefore it has 18 sides
